Rachel Takeuchi is a London-based photographer working in portraiture and editorial storytelling. Her work explores intimacy, presence and human connection, often using bold colour and carefully constructed settings to create images that feel emotionally real. She is drawn to the moments between people, where posture, proximity and gesture reveal what words do not.
Before photography, Rachel spent over a decade working in business and technology. Becoming a mother of three and living alongside disability through her husband’s spinal cord injury shifted her perspective on storytelling and representation. These experiences inform her work today — an interest in how people show up for one another, how strength and vulnerability coexist, and how everyday moments can hold quiet emotional weight.
